JET provides a superfast method of inserting data and other elements into a system. JET treats data with transparency. SGML style tags provide ability to insert elements from various data sources including mySQL.
JET makes an excellent tool for making websites. Using the session control library websites can be put together in easy modular form. Pretty URLs, smart multipage form entry and session variables for complex login operations.
JET works on a principal of transparency. A JET script file will basically pass anything that exists within it that is untagged through to the output process. JET tags can be inserted to provide conditional output as well as dynamic elements from the mysql database as well as any other scripting program or executable program written in any language.
JET can be used for anything from web sites to asterisk dialplan generation to dynamic postcripting to anything that you can apply it to.
JET is highly reliant on mysql. This may change in the future but many expression handling functions are dependant on the mysql library functions. Any expression that works in mysql will work in JET.
You can make JET scripts and compile them into super fast libraries. Scripts can be anything from web page functions and concealers to session control, credit card processing and just about anything. Libraries add some performance enhancements by pre parsing many of the elements in the script.
Libraries allow you to make your own tags and implement them in the scripts. JET does not have JSON or XML parsing but using a libraries you can develop an XML parser operation that usually suffices for most script processing.
For web sites, a session control library is provided with JET and can be used to control advanced session parameters for your website.
